Introducing Google Squared (via Google)
oogle Squared just launched and it’s a new way of viewing search results by extracting data from web pages and presenting them in search results as squares (spreadsheet format).
Here is a little review on the Google App:
“Unlike a normal search engine, Google Squared doesn’t find webpages about your topic — instead, it automatically fetches and organizes facts from across the Internet,” Google said in a preview of the product last month.”
So it’s a way to gather information (e.g., from multiple searches) in an organized way and it’s interesting to try out. It doesn’t necessarily list results in ranked order, so far now it’s more a research tool (though the results do make you question: how well tagged is your brand’s content? how much relevant content does your brand have in the digital space? and how will Search Engine Optimization criteria change as a result?)
Here is a link to my search for “Fort Greene Brooklyn”

It isn’t as thorough as a regular search query and a bit shaky, but it’s part of the changing game in search-engine land.
